Hello,

This is the Wonder Festival Korea Executive Committee.

We would like to inform all prospective participants of Wonder Festival 2025 Korea 

about the official policy regarding the exhibition eligibility of repainted, modified, and remade works.

The eligibility of a work for exhibition is not determined solely by its method of production,

but is based on the ownership and licensing status of the intellectual property (IP).

In order to protect the rights of original creators and ensure a fair exhibition environment for all,

the following policy is in place.

1. Works involving repainting or modification of commercially available kits (e.g. plastic models)

Example: Assembling a commercially available plastic model produced by a manufacturer, followed by repainting or modification.

→ ✅ Exhibition permitted

※ Please note that in some previous events, certain works of this kind were restricted or removed from the venue

at the request of the IP holders.

While such works are generally permitted, we cannot guarantee final approval for exhibition,

and we kindly ask for your understanding in advance.

2. Remade works based on Garage Kits

In particular, works that are remade by modifying or reconstructing Garage Kits originally created by individuals

will be evaluated according to the following criteria based on copyright and fairness in exhibition.

① Remade works based on commercially produced Garage Kits

Example: Remaking a Garage Kit officially sold by a company

→ ✅ Exhibition permitted

② Remade works based on Garage Kits created by individuals

Example: Participant B modifies and exhibits a kit originally created by Participant A

→ ⚠️ Exhibition restricted

※ Reason for restriction:

Participant A has formally applied for a One Day License and fulfilled the necessary requirements to exhibit the work.

However, if Participant B modifies and exhibits the same IP-based kit without a license,

it would constitute unauthorized use of the IP, resulting in potential copyright infringement and unfairness.

3. Official Policy of the Executive Committee

To ensure fair exhibition standards and protect intellectual property rights,

the following policy will be strictly applied:

“Remade works based on Garage Kits created by individuals are restricted from being brought into or exhibited at the venue.”

※ If any work in violation of this policy is brought to the event site,

the executive committee reserves the right to request immediate removal or halt of the display.

This policy is intended to support a sustainable creative ecosystem

and maintain fairness among all participants.

If you are uncertain whether a specific work qualifies for exhibition,

please contact the executive committee in advance for clarification.
